Employers understand how important an educated workforce is to their business and Oregon's economy, They know that education isn't just a social issue - it's an economic issue - so they appreciate the imperative to educate all of Oregon's students. Moreover, employers can provide real-world relevance to students in ways teachers and schools can not, and they can serve as role models and coaches for students in ways parents can not.
Hundred of employers across the state are helping Oregon's schools and students. Their involvement takes many forms. They serve on community/school leadership teams where they help plan, organize and measure progress on school initiatives. They serve as catalysts to get other employers and community members involved in their local schools. They encourage their own employees to serve as mentors for students, and they provide classroom presentations, host workplace tours or job shadows, create internships for students, and even offer to use their business facilities for off-site school meetings.
E3 believes everyone has a role to play in supporting student learning and achievement, and are deeply appreciative of the employers who have become involved in one or more of our programs since 1996. We celebrate their contributions to the thousands of students who benefited from their generosity of time, energy, ideas and funding.
E3 is honored to count hundreds of employers as partners in education from across the state of Oregon.
